Date and time

Location

Description

Recently, The Toronto Star has covered an incident of discrimination against Korean Canadian, Stephanie Kim.

Toronto woman says fellow bank customer made anti-Asian slurs

We have invited Stephanie to share her recent experience and open up the floor for a community-wide dialogue on race and diversity, centred around the Korean Canadian experience. Join Stephanie, Hannah Sung (Co-Host of Colour Code, a podcast about race by the Globe and Mail), Dr. Marianne Noh (Chair of Woori Maum Korean Canadian Mental Health Association and expert on race relations), Dr. Joseph Park (Psychiatrist and President of KCWA Family and Social Services) and more as we share diverse perspectives on how we can handle such situations as individuals and as a community in the current, racially-charged, climate.

We encourage all members of the community to come out in support and to engage in a conversation about identifying structural racism. Join us in creating a platform to speak about our experiences of adversity in relation to the city.
